Cultural characteristics of the West and the East!

Western psychology has a remarkable effect on the study of human nature. In fact, Chinese numerology began the study in this field earlier. Numerology began in the Han Dynasty. Numerology was the ‘science of royal officials’ in ancient China. In the scholar-official class, those above the third rank were good at numerology in ancient China. The emperor—Yong Zheng of the Qing Dynasty was a veritable master of numerology, which was one of his means of managing human resources; Liu Bo Wen, the national master of the Ming Dynasty,  Ji Xiao Lan, the grand scholar of the Qing Dynasty, and Zeng Guo Fan, the famous minister of the Qing Dynasty, were all numerology masters.

Carl Jung is an outstanding psychologist and psychoanalyst in the West. But he has a deep understanding of Chinese numerology and Chinese culture. According to the unofficial history, Jung would open the client’s life chart before he began to psychoanalyze him.

Western psychology has a famous Enneagram personality, while Chinese numerology has ‘ten Gods’. So in terms of western words, Chinese numerology has Tengram. It is worth mentioning that the cost of observation and investigation of enneagram personality in Western psychology is too high. Even an experienced psychologist needs to reach a conclusion through repeated observation and multiple questionnaire feedback which cannot be perfectly practiced in life.

The Tengram personality of Chinese numerology does not have this problem. As long as the accurate birth date is provided, the person’s personality, talent, social role, marriage, and other aspects are clear, there is no need to do any research and observation. What is most worth mentioning is that numerology was first seen in the Yellow Emperor’s Canon of Internal Medicine. In the Han Dynasty, Chinese people only knew how to use the time of birth to deduce human diseases. Later, people gradually found that this method of deduction could also be used in other aspects, such as the social attributes mentioned above.

Focus on your own numerological personality and find out your true inner needs, and this is the ‘right answer’ that is unique to you. Finding what you really want and working for it is the most important thing in the journey of your life.
